BJP Leaders Arrested in Kurnool

In Kurnool, BJP leaders have staged a protest after the state government restricted the celebration of Vinayaka Chavithi in public locations.

On the request of state BJP general secretary Vishnuvardhan Reddy, AP state president Somu Veerraju organised a gathering to storm the Collector’s home, which became violent.

It has resulted in a stampede-like scenario. Police blocked the movement of BJP demonstrators, resulting in a fight between them.

Somu Veerraju and Vishnuvardhan Reddy were both detained and sent to the police station. Satya Kumar, the BJP’s National Secretary, has also been detained, according to reports.
