Warangal Urban: BJP leaders including their State president Bandi Sanjay are misleading the people with false propaganda on devolution of funds by the Centre to Telangana State, alleged Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
Addressing the TRS party leaders and workers at the MLC preparatory meeting here on Saturday, Dayakar Rao called upon the TRS workers to defeat the BJP in the ensuing graduate MLC polls. He said that the BJP leaders were posing as if they were providing Aasara pensions to the people in the State. But the Centre’s share was just Rs 200 crore against Rs 12,000 crore every year, he added. “On the other hand, we got only Rs 40,000 crore in the last five years from the centre, while State paid the Centre Rs 2,70,000 in the form of taxes,” Dayakar Rao said and appealed to the voters of the Graduate MLC constituency of Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda to teach them a lesson by ensuring the victory of the TRS candidate. He also made a scathing attack on the Congress and alleged that Congress did nothing for the development of the State.
“TRS party youth wing members must take this election as a prestigious issue and work hard for the winning of the party candidate with a high majority. Wardhannapet MLA Aruri Ramesh must see that he would get the highest number of votes in his constituency,” he added. MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, MLC observer and TSIIC chairman Gyadari Balamallu, GWMC Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao, DCCB chairman Marneni Ravinder Rao, corporators and others attended the meeting.
