BJP leaders spreading lies, stooping to low level: TRS

Hyderabad, Oct.31 (NSS): Minister for Finance T Harish Rao lashed out at BJP State unit president Bandi Sanjay and Union Minister Kishan Reddy for spreading lies and telling untruths against the TRS government.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, Minister Harish Rao said that lies are now mixed with the BJP’s DNA and both leaders Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy have stooped to their lowest level while speaking.

“Kishan Reddy is now holding a constistutional post as the Union Minister. He should maintain some dignified manner and always tell the truth to the people while speaking. Bandi Sanjay is also a State unit president of the national party. Unfortunately, their behaviour is lower than the Galli leaders and both are now under the frustration after the success of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao ‘s public meeting,” Harish Rao said.

Stating that about 99 percent of Munugodu Assembly constituency people got benefitted under various schemes implemented by the State government, the Minister said that he was ready to show the proof in this regard and dared the BJP leaders to come to Munugodu for the debate.

He said the Munugodu Assembly constituency has the highest beneficiaries of Rythu Bandu scheme with 1,01,279 farmers in Telangana. Similarly, about 40,000 people are getting Asara pension and about 1200 families have sofar got Rythu Beema scheme. In addition to this, the supply of Krishna drinking water to all households in the constituency, Harish Rao explained.

Talking about the defection, the Minister said the BJP was the first culprit in encouraging the defections and it had a history of toppling eight elected governments in the country.

While BJP leaders say it is the right when TDP Rajya Sabha Members Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh, Garikapati Mohan Rao and Sujana Chowdary have been merged into the saffron party, what is the wrong that Congress MLAs in Telangana are merged into the TRS, Harish Rao questioned.

Showing the Union government’s circular, he said the Union government has clearly given instructions to the Telangana for the installation of electric meters at the agriculture pump sets and has brought the pressure on it for obtaining the borrowing limit under the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM).

He said the Telangana government has been opposing the imposition of GST on Textiles since the day one of implementing it and then Telangana finance Minister Etela Rajender, who is now BJP MLA, has opposed the Centre’s decision at the 16th council of GST meeting held on June 11, 2017.

MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, TRS leaders Swamy Goud, Dasoju Shravan and Srinivas Reddy were also present in the press conference. (NSS)
