BJP Promised What We Already Did: TRS
Hyderabad: The TRS party on Thursday said that the BJP was promising what all the TRS had done during the last few years.
According to the party leaders, the BJP has promised to have a flyover for every junction to address traffic problems.
The TRS government had already completed nine flyovers, four underpasses, three road over bridges and one cable bridge under the Strategic Road Development Programme. The BJP promised to close potholes on the roads within 15 days. To this, the TRS said that the government was running a program called CRMP (comprehensive road maintenance program), under which the agencies were operational for a period of five years.
On the promise of the BJP to construct one lakh houses for the poor, the TRS leaders have come up with the project of double bedroom houses in Kollur and also construction of 1 lakh houses with Rs 9,700 crore. On the dumping yards in all areas as promised by the BJP, the TRS said that dump yards were identified in all directions of Hyderabad.
The party also mentions construction and demolition plant at Jeedimetla and Fathullaguda. For drinking water supply promise, the TRS said that already 4727 km pipeline was completed and it constructed 230 storage reservoirs of 400 ML capacity in Hyderabad and was supplying 20,000 litres of free water. On the promise of Rs 25,000 to the flood-affected, the TRS pointed out that the Centre did not release a single rupee for flood relief measures to Hyderabad.
Speaking of the BJP promise of waiver of property tax in slum areas, the TRS said that property tax up to Rs 1200 was already waived off since 2015 and another 50 per cent was waived to the tune of Rs 200 crore as one-time measure as part of Covid relief.
On the promise of one women’s toilet for every kilometre, the TRS said that more than 3,000 SHE toilets were constructed and placed along all the corridors. For the women police station, the TRS said that already there were Bharosa centres.
