Hyderabad, Oct.20 (Maxim News): ‘Police martyrs are a source of inspiration’, said Mahesh M Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police Rachakonda at a Blood donation camp at CAR Hqrs Amberpet.
On the eve of Police Commemmoration Day observed on every Oct 21st, Rachakonda Police have organised a mega blood donation camp. Inaugurating the camp, Mahesh Bhagwat stated that Police martyrs are a source of inspiration for all police. They have sacrificed their lives for our better tomorrow.
Many police officers turned out in huge numbers for the camp and including the CP more than 330 of them donated blood till 1.30 pm and THE camp continued. Later a CD of songs written and sung by Nagamallu, Inspector LB Nagar Traffic, in honour of the martyrs was released in the hands of CP.
Speaking to the media, Mahesh Bhagwat spoke about the various programs organised throughout the Commemmoration week in Rachakonda. He stated that Traffic wing and She teams have conducted various awareness programs in schools, colleges and orphanages. Essay competition was conducted for the police. SHOs visited the families of police martyrs expressing solidarity and finally the mega blood donation camp is organised in association with Indian Red Cross Society. He further stated that Rachakonda Police has been awarded Best Blood Donor by the Governor since last two years for highest number of blood donations on a single day. He also stated that the police in Rachakonda donated blood whenever required to Thalassemia patients , emergency and to accident victims whenever required.
He thanked Dr K Pichi reddy of Indian Red Cross society for organising the camp and all the police personal who participated in the camp. Yadagiri DCP Crimes, Divyacharan DCP Traffic, Addl DCPs and other officers of Rachakonda attended the program.(Maxim News)
