Bobby Kataria Claims He Smoked In ‘Dummy’ Plane After Receiving Massive Backlash

Bobby Kataria is making headlines again after claiming that he was seen lighting a cigarette in a dummy aircraft. His claim completely contradicts the airline’s statement, which confirmed the incident occurred in one of its planes in January of this year. “The video in which I was seen smoking was a dummy plane and that was part of my shooting in Dubai,” Kataria told. It is not permitted to bring lighters on board the plane.” The statement comes after an old video of a social media influencer resurfaced on the Internet, causing widespread outrage across the country. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security confirmed that the now-viral video was old and appropriate action was taken against Bobby at that time.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also took note of the video, stating that such a hazard would not be tolerated.

The video was reportedly shot on January 23, 2022, when the influencer flew from Dubai to New Delhi on a SpiceJet flight. The video was quickly removed from his social media pages. “The video isn’t available on his Facebook/Instagram page.” Aviation security took action earlier,” the authorities stated.

The video showed the social media star smoking a cigarette while lying down in the tail section of the SpiceJet flight. Smoking is prohibited on all domestic and international flights. A SpiceJet spokesperson told ANI that none of the passengers or crew were aware of the incident. The issue was brought to the airline’s attention on January 24, 2022, via social media posts.

He recently uploaded another video in which he is seen drinking alcohol on a busy Dehradun road. Ashok Kumar, the director general of police in Uttarakhand, has launched an investigation. On July 28, Haryana resident Kataria uploaded the video to his verified account. The short video has now sparked widespread outrage. On the photo and video-sharing platform, the influencer has approximately 6.3 lakh followers.

An investigation has been launched into the situation. According to DGP Kumar, “the man seen in the video is blocking the road and consuming liquor in public,” according to The Times of India. He went on to say that this is completely unacceptable and that strict action will be taken.
