Bomb threat calls to Delhi schools trigger security alert

New Delhi / Hyderabad, Feb. 9: Bomb threat calls to multiple schools in the national capital triggered a high level security alert on Monday morning, prompting immediate action from police and emergency agencies.

According to available information, nine prominent schools in Delhi received bomb threat calls. The calls came between 8.30 am and 9.00 am.

As soon as the schools received the threats, the managements alerted the authorities. Consequently, the police machinery moved into action without delay.

Delhi Police rushed teams to the affected schools. Meanwhile, fire service personnel and bomb disposal squads also reached the locations. Officials treated the situation seriously due to the involvement of educational institutions and the safety of children.

Bomb threat calls force evacuation and checks

As a precaution, school authorities evacuated students and staff immediately. They cleared the school premises to avoid any risk.

Afterward, bomb disposal squads began thorough inspections inside the buildings and surrounding areas. At present, teams continue to carry out detailed checks.

Meanwhile, police launched an investigation into the bomb threat calls. Officials are examining whether the calls were hoaxes or if any larger plan exists behind them.

They are also trying to trace the source of the calls. The repeated targeting of schools has added urgency to the probe.

The incident caused concern among parents and school administrators. Parents expressed anxiety over student safety. School managements also voiced worry over the growing trend of such threats.
