Bomb Threat To School In Delhi: Extensive Police Checks
Delhi/Hyderabad, Mar 2 (Maxim News): Bomb threats were received by several schools in the national capital Delhi today (Monday) . The authorities were immediately alerted by these threats. Unknown people sent warnings through emails that bombs had been planted in schools. The threats received by several schools, especially Salwan Public School in Mayur Vihar area, have caused serious concern.
In an email to the school management, the assailants claimed that a bomb had been planted in the school premises. The school staff immediately informed the police upon receiving this information. The students and staff were immediately alerted and the police took security measures.
The police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. With the help of the bomb disposal team and dog squad, they conducted a thorough inspection of the entire school. Every classroom, campus, and surrounding areas were thoroughly inspected. In this order, security arrangements were further tightened in the areas surrounding the school.
Police said that after extensive checks, no suspicious items were found. It is suspected that this may have been a false threat. The police have launched an investigation in collaboration with the cybercrime department to identify the person who sent the email.
The incident has raised concerns among the parents of the students. They have contacted the school management, expressing concern over the safety of their children. However, the officials have said that the situation is completely under control and there is no need to panic.
