Boost Farm Activity With Rainfall, CS Tells Agri Officials

Hyderabad, July 30 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary S K Joshi today asked the officials of Agriculture department to take immediate measures to boost farm activity in the wake of increase in rainfall.

Holding a meeting with officials at the Secretariat today, Joshi asked agricultural extension officers to give daily report on crops being sown in the villages and mandals across all districts. He said it was good to monitor the crops being sown and ensure that the village level farm officials give suggestions and guidelines to the farming community in the rural areas. He also sought details of damages to agricultural fields, if any, due to floods and rains and make prompt payment to the victims online under Calamity Relief Fund. The CS said the officials concerned should prepare separate register for the rural and urban population for 2021 Census.

Secretary to GAD Athar Sinha and others were present. Earlier, the Chief Secretary held a video conference with the Collectors on Harithaharam, Environment, weather conditions, distribution of pension, population record as per the 2021 Population Census, Swatchch Mission and so on. (Maxim News)
