BRS appoints General Secretary, Coordinators in UP, Maharashtra

BRS | Hyderabad, March 1 (Maxim News): Bharat Rashtra Samithi Party (BRS) appoints general secretary, Divisional Coordinators for UP and Maharashtra.

BRS Supremo and Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekhar Rao also appointed Himanshu Tiwari from Jaunpur as the party General Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh unit.

According to the official statement released by the BRS Party, Dasarath Sawanth has been appointed divisional coordinator for Nashik, Balasaheb Jairam Deshmukh for Pune, and Vijay Tanaji Mohite for Mumbai.

Somnath Thorat for Aurangabad, Dyanesh Wakudkar for Nagpur, and Nikhil Deshmukh represents Amaravathi Division.

Himanshu Tiwari is 31 -year -old young political leader. He has obtained a Master’s in Computers from Varanasi. He belongs to a freedom fighter’s family in Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Since 2015, he is actively involved in farmers’ agitation at the national level. He was running nationwide agitation against Land Acquisition Ordinance and played a role in the national coordination of the farmers’ movements.

He was part of United Kisan Morcha in 2020-2021, and a member of the National Executive of SKM that vociferously opposed three anti-farmer laws.

Himanshu launched 21 days of Padaytra from Champaran in Bihar to Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, and mobilized thousands of people in Jan Jagran Padayatra. Presently he is part of team KCR (Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao). As BRS National General Secretary, he will actively participate in the organizational works of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS Party).

It is to mention here that KCR had addressed a public meeting at Nanded in Maharashtra on February 5. This was the first public meeting of BRS outside Telangana.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) changed its name to BRS late last year to expand its activities across the country. BRS was formally launched by KCR in December with the slogan of aab ki baar kisan sarkar’.

The inaugural public meeting of BRS was held on January 17 at Khammam, which was addressed by KCR, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Samajwadi Party’s president Akhilesh Yadav and Communist Party of India (CPI) Secretary D. Raja.
