BRS Leader Manne Krishna Released From Jail, Vows To Continue Question Congress Govt

Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News):BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank was released from Sangareddy Central Jail in Kandi on Saturday morning.

Sporting a T-shirt inscribed with “Back to Question,” Krishank stepped out of the jail and addressed media persons.

He thanked the BRS leadership for standing by him and the party’s legal team for waging a relentless legal battle on his behalf.

“I am being arrested and subjected to fabricated cases simply because I am questioning the Congress government. Irrespective of the cases filed against us, we will continue to question,” Krishank said.

Stating that he was dubbed a habitual offender by the police, the BRS leader said questions were being asked over the alleged corruption in procurement of mobile phones for Anganwadi workers and also over the mining operations of Raghava Constructions at Kothwalguda.

“As I exposed the corruption, they put me in jail for 16 days. Nevertheless, I will not back down,” Krishank stated.

He charged that instead of focusing on the deteriorating law and order situation in the State, the Congress government was targeting BRS leaders and others who were questioning its functioning.

Citing recent incidents, he said unidentified persons had allegedly opened fire near an ATM in Hyderabad before fleeing the scene, while another firing incident took place at a jewellery store in Karimnagar.

Krishank further claimed that even senior police officials were facing security concerns and alleged there was inadequate security in residential quarters allotted to IAS and IPS officers.

Suspecting that the Revanth Reddy government was tapping the phones of BRS leaders, Krishank said police officials questioned him about several media contacts, relatives and their whereabouts.

“After BRS Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao raised questions over phone tapping by the Congress government, the manner in which the police questioned me made it even more evident,” he alleged. (Maxim News)
