Hyderabad, July 31: Senior leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Friday expressed grief over the demise of former Narsampet MLA and Telangana movement leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, describing his death as an irreparable loss to the party and Telangana.
Leaders paid tributes to Sudarshan Reddy, recalling his role in the Telangana statehood movement, his close association with BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao, and his commitment to public service.
BRS Legislature Party Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao said he was deeply saddened by Sudarshan Reddy’s passing.
“We all hoped he would recover during treatment and return to us. It is difficult to accept that he is no longer with us,” Harish Rao said.
He described Sudarshan Reddy as a colleague in the Telangana movement, a dedicated party worker and a leader who remained committed to public service throughout his life. He also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength to help them cope with the loss.
BRS Parliamentary Party leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra termed Sudarshan Reddy a frontline leader of the Telangana movement and said he played a vital role in strengthening the party and promoting the development of Narsampet.
Former MP Vinod Kumar recalled Sudarshan Reddy’s close association with K. Chandrashekhar Rao and said he made significant contributions to the Telangana movement, particularly in the erstwhile Warangal district.
Former Minister and MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy described him as a courageous leader who made notable sacrifices during the struggle for Telangana statehood.
Former Minister S. Niranjan Reddy said Sudarshan Reddy’s demise was an irreparable loss to both the BRS and Telangana, while BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan remembered him for his integrity, honesty and unwavering commitment to public causes.
MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy said Sudarshan Reddy dedicated his life to serving the people. Former TNGOs president and BRS leader Devi Prasad and BRS General Secretary R. S. Praveen Kumar also paid tributes and extended condolences to his family.
