BS Yediyurappa as next Telangana Governor?

Telangana is expected to have a new governor in the next week or two to replace current Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. According to sources, the Centre has agreed to Tamilisai’s request and will likely designate her as full-time Lieutenant Governor of Pondicherry by the end of August or the first week of September.

In such case, the Centre would be required to nominate a new Governor for Telangana. According to reports, the Centre is quite likely to nominate former Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa as the next Governor of Telangana. Yediyurappa just resigned down as Karnataka’s chief minister to make room for Basavaraj Bommai.
