Buchi Babu to be investigated in Delhi Liquor Scam

Buchi Babu | Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 22 (Maxim News): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will investigate the former auditor of BRS MLC Kavitha, Gorantla Buchibabu in the Delhi Liquor Scm case.

It is known that he is currently in Tihar jail. Buchibabu is in jail in a case arrested by the CBI. The ED officials sought the permission of a special CBI court to interrogate him for two days. Responding to ED’s appeal. Special Court Judge Nagpal allowed it, with this, Buchibabu will be interrogated by the ED officials in Tihar jail for two days from Thursday.

The ED officials say that the key information related to the Delhi Liquor Scam should be collected from Buchi Babu. It is known that Buchibabu was questioned by the officers of the Enforcement Directorate several times in the past.

CBI arrested MLC Kavithai’s former auditor Gorantla Buchibabu in the Delhi liquor scam case. It is noteworthy that Buchibabu is the second person to the arrested by the CBI in this case after Abhishek Boinapalli from Telangana. CBI summoned Buchi Babu to Delhi and arrested him. In the past, CBI and ED have questioned Buchi babu several times.

Punjab-based businessman Gautam Malhotra was also arrested by the ED in the Delhi Liquor case. In a statement, the CBI said that Buchibabu played a key role in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy, due to which the wholesale and retail licensees of Hyderabad and those who benefited from them got illegal profits. Buchi Babu, who has been her auditor since the establishment of Kavita Jagruti Sanstha, has also worked as an auditor for Minister K.Tarak Rama Rao and his close leaders. (Maxim News)
