According to the police, the incident took place at Kismatpur when the homeowner, Kiran Kumar, who works in the software industry, had gone to a relative’s house to attend a family function. The family returned home on Wednesday morning only to find the main door broken and their belongings ransacked. Large quantities of jewellery and cash were missing from the almirah.

After receiving Kiran Kumar’s complaint, the Rajendranagar police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Forensic teams inspected the crime scene to gather clues and evidence from the house. Officials said they are also reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the suspects involved in the burglary.

The police believe the burglars might have conducted a recce of the house before targeting it. They may have taken advantage of the family’s absence to execute the crime. The stolen gold and cash suggest a well-planned act carried out by professionals familiar with the area. Meanwhile, the police have deployed special teams to track lead movements and recover the stolen valuables.

The Rajendranagar burglary adds to a growing number of similar incidents reported across the city in recent weeks. Authorities have urged residents to remain alert and report any suspicious movements in their localities, particularly when leaving their homes unattended for extended periods. Police patrols have also been increased in vulnerable residential colonies in the region.
