Hyderabad: A businessman was allegedly murdered in Rajendranagar and his body was found charred at an isolated place on Saturday morning. Police said unknown persons killed him at another location and later set the body on fire to conceal his identity.
The deceased was identified as Amir, a businessman and a resident of Tolichowki. According to the police, the crime did not occur at the spot where the body was found. Instead, the accused allegedly killed him elsewhere and then dumped the body in Rajendranagar. They allegedly set it ablaze in an attempt to hide his identity.
Meanwhile, locals noticed the charred body lying in an isolated area during the morning hours. They immediately alerted the police. Soon after, police teams rushed to the spot and began a preliminary investigation. Officers secured the area and started collecting evidence from the scene.
Police said they are examining footage from closed circuit cameras installed in and around Rajendranagar. They hope the CCTV footage will help trace the movements of the suspects and identify the vehicle used to transport the body. However, investigators have not disclosed further details at this stage.
