Busted Gang Of PDS Rice Illegal Transportation: Arrested 3: Seized 102 Quintals

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (Maxim News): The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, the South Zone Task Force Team, and Bhavani Nagar Police busted the PDS rice accumulation gang in the limits of Bhavani Nagar Police Station. Apprehended three persons in two places, who are procuring and transporting PDS Rice and wheat illegally to another state Maharashtra to earn higher profits.

The accused who have been apprehended are Sheikh Rasheed Shaik Ayaz both from Bhavani Nagar, and Md Akhtar R/o AmanNagar B, Talabkatta, Hyderabad.  and seized PDS Rice 102 Quintals RiceWheat 31.10 Quintals Total worth of Rs: 2,97,100.

PDS Rice and Wheat Illegal Transport Business

The accused is Sheikh Rasheed along with his son who are running a transport business at Afzal Gunj. Due to loss of business Rasheed and his son Ayaz hatched a plan to earn easy money by doing illegal means. For that Rasheed and Ayaz chose the PDS Rice and Wheat illegal Transport Business. As per their plan, they are procuring PDS Rice and Wheat from the beneficiaries for an amount of Rs.12/- per KG. Later the same is sold to PDS Rice dealers namely 1) Shaik Saber R/o Talabkatta, Bhavani Nagar, Hyderabad 2) Navaj R/o Hyderabad, and 3) Suryakanth Mascoti R/o Maharashtra State (Absconding) for Rs.20/- per KG and earning money illegally.

The accused Akhtar resident of Bhavani Nagar runs the Kirana Shop at his residence. Due to insufficient profits in his Kirana Business, Akhtar indulged in procuring PDS rice from local ration card beneficiaries for lower prices and storing it at his residence Aman Nagar B, Talabkatta, Hyderabad, and the same is selling to one PDS Rice dealer by the name of Akram R/o Santosh Nagar (Absconding) for higher prices and earning money illegally.

Based on information The Commissioner’s Task Force South Zone with the help of Bhavani Nagar Police and Civil Supplies Officials apprehended the above three accused, seized the material, and handed over to SHO Bhavani Nagar. and took up the investigation.

The above arrests were made under the supervision of  A. Srinivas Rao, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Hyderabad, by Inspector  S.Raghavendra, SIs K. Narsimulu, N. Naveen, G. Anjaneyulu, and staff of Task Force, South Zone, Hyderabad along with Bhavani Nagar Police and Civil Supplies Department. (Maxim News)
