A fatal accident took place on the Outer Ring Road in the Narsingi police station area of Rangareddy district. Early Monday, a speeding car caught fire, raising alarm among commuters. The driver, noticing the emergency, quickly stopped the car on the road and alerted the other occupants. A major tragedy was averted when all three people inside the vehicle managed to get out just in time.
The car, which was moving along the busy Ring Road, caught fire without warning. The quick action by the driver ensured everyone’s safety, as the passengers escaped moments before the fire escalated.
Immediately after all three had exited the car, flames engulfed the vehicle and reduced it to ashes. Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire brigade rushed to the scene and managed to control the blaze. Despite their efforts, the car was already completely burnt by the time they arrived.
Police confirmed that there was no loss of life in the incident. Their relief was clear as they shared that all three individuals in the car escaped unharmed.
However, the accident led to a significant traffic jam on the Outer Ring Road, as the burnt vehicle blocked lanes. The authorities worked promptly to remove the wreckage and clear the traffic, restoring normal conditions for travellers.
This incident follows recent road tragedies in the region. Two days ago, a fire broke out in a V Kaveri Travels bus in Kurnool district, resulting in the death of 19 people.
Yesterday, an electric bus named New Go overturned on the Outer Ring Road near Pedda Amberpet, causing serious injuries to six people. The sequence of these accidents has raised concerns about road safety and emergency preparedness in and around Hyderabad.
