Case Registered Against Megha Engineering Company In Bribery Case
Delhi/Hyderabad, April 13 (Maxim News): CBI has registered a case against the Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited Company, which bought Rs. 966 crore worth of electoral bonds together and gave money to various political parties in the country.

Eight officials from NISP, NMDC and two officials of Megha have also been named in the FIR for taking bribes of around Rs. 78 lakhs in clearing the bills of Rs. 174 crores of Megha engineering in connection with works related to Jagdalpur Integrated Steel Plant.
According to the FIR, the CBI conducted a preliminary investigation into allegations of bribery in the Rs. 315 crore project, on March 18 it was recommended that a general case be registered on the charge of bribery based on the details revealed in the preliminary investigation.

In this case, Retired Executive director Prashant Dash, Director (Production) DK Mohanty, DGM PK Bhuyan, DM Naresh Babu, Senior Manager subro Banerjee, Retired CGM (Finance) L.Ksihna Mohan, GM (Finance) K.Rajasekhar who received a bribe of Rs. 73.85 lakhs, Manager (Finance) somnath Ghosh.
Against 73 invoices from subhash to NMDC Limited for Rs. 174.41 crores to MEIL for payment. The names of two officials of Mecon Limited – AGM (Contracts) Sanjeev Sahai and DGM (Contracts) K.Illavarsu – who are accused of accepting bribes of Rs. 5.01 lakh, have been named in the FIR. General Manager, MEIL, Chandra Sangras, Megha engineering are also accused in this case.

According to data released by the Election Commission on March 21, Megha engineering was the second largest buyer of electoral bonds and the highest of around Rs. 586 crores donated to BJP.
The company got Rs. 196 crores for BRS, Rs. 85 crores for DMK, Rs. 37 crores for YSRCP, Rs. 25 crores for TDP, Rs. 17 crores for Congress, Rs. 17 crores for JD-S, Jana Sena Party, JD-U Rs. 5 crores to Rs. 10 crores donated. (Maxim News)
