CBN Inaugrates 3 Lakh Houses

Hyderabad, July 5 (Maxim News): Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu today created history of sorts by leading the house-warming ceremony of 3 lakh new houses for 3 lakh happy families. The programme was organised in 174 constituencies covering 12,767 gram panchayats and 2,093 municipal wards covering 664 mandals and 110 municipalities.

Over 3 lakh houses, 3,00,346 to be precise, including rural and urban, have been completed in the State, and they are ready for occupation. This includes 5,118 houses constructed under the NTR Special Housing Scheme (for Hudhud victims).

The government has set a stiff target of completing 19 lakh houses by 2019 at a cost of Rs. 50,000 Crore, and has been maintaining transparency in housing projects by introducing cashless transactions. The amount is being credited online into the respective beneficiaries’ accounts. (Maxim News)
