CCS registers case against BJP Corporator

Hyderabad, Nov.2 (NSS): A criminal case has been registered against Saroornagar corporator Akula Srivani in the CCS for allegedly making inappropriate remarks against MA&UD Minister K Taraka Ramarao in the social media.

Responding to a complaint submitted by the ruling TRS leaders, the CCS police served a notice to Akula Srivani asking her to present in their office on November 4.

Responding to the notice, the BJP corporator Akula Srivani expressed her displeasure alleging that the staff working in the TRS social media office have deliberately foisted the case. She asserted that she never made critical comments against the minister KTR posing threat to law and order problems.

She also said she has the video concerned with her that related to her remarks against KTR and reiterated that she did not make any critical remark against the minister. The corporator also alleged that some jealousy TRS leaders might have filed the defamatory complaint against her for pointing out the mistakes of the State government. She also said she would face the case and fight it courageously. (NSS)
