Center Approves Three Irrigation Projects In Telangana

Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 29 (Maxim News): The Union Jal shakti Ministry has approved three Irrigation projects in Telangana. The Projects that was waiting for the Central clearance Mukteshwar (Chinna Kaleshwaram) Lift Irrigation Scheme in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Chanaka-Korata barrage in Adilabad district and Choutpally Hanumanth Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme in Nizamabad district got approval today.

All the three projects were cleared during the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting chaired by Jal Shakti Ministry Secretary Pankaj Kumar in New Delhi.

It may be recalled that in July last year, the Central government had not given formal approval and sought a detailed project report. However, the state government submitted a report to the Central Water Commission and Godavari river Management Board in September last year. accordingly, all the directorates concerned in the CWC examined the proposals and cleared them.

It is said that the Telangana officials have given the clarification on various issues of concern raised by the committee, the committee has been satisfied with the response and gave nod. (Maxim News)
