Center Will Introduce 14 Bills In Parliament In This Winter Session
Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 30 (Maxim News): The central government is set to introduce 14 bills in the winter session of Parliament. The proposed Atomic Energy Bill 2025 is a key one. (14 Bills To Be Introduced) The main purpose of this bill is to allow private sector participation in the nuclear energy sector. The Higher Education Commission of India Bill 2025 has also gained importance. The center will introduce this bill with the aim of establishing a central commission for strong regulatory oversight to promote autonomy for universities and higher educational institutions, transparent accreditation procedures and improve educational standards.
Meanwhile, the list of other bills includes the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill 2025, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill 2025, the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill 2025, and the National Highways (Amendment) Bill 2025.
On the other hand, the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill 2025, which seeks to amend the provisions of the Companies Act 2013 and the LLP Act 2008, the Securities Markets Code Bill 2025, which seeks to consolidate the SEBI Act 1992, the Depositories Act 1996, and the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act 1956 into a unified market code, and the Insurance Laws (Amendment) Bill 2025 are also included in this list.
Meanwhile, the Central Government is also set to introduce in Parliament the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill 2025, which proposes amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, including Section 34, following recent Supreme Court observations, the Central Excise (Amendment) Bill 2025, the Health Security and National Security Cess Bill 2025. However, in the wake of the controversy, the Central Government has withdrawn the proposal of a bill to directly empower the President for the Union Territory of Chandigarh. (Maxim News)
