Centre alerts State Governments over Omicron cases
New Delhi, Dec. 22: Central government alerted the state governments over increasing Omicron variant cases in the country. Centre said that Omicron variant cases are spreading three times faster than Delta. Union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan wrote letters to state governments, Union Territories over increasing Covid-19 new variant Omicron.
It asked the state governments to analyse the Covid data and take necessary measures in the states, districts to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. It added that Covid-19 delta variant cases are reporting across a few states in the nation and asked to impose strict restrictions to contain the virus.
