Centre Decided To Extend Free Ration Till Dec. 2023

Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec 24 (Maxim News): Keeping in view that the Coronavirus new variant BF-7 has spread in China and other countries, which would likely have more impact on the livelihood particularly of the poor people, the Central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to extend the free ration scheme till December 2023.

With this decision, about 83 crores people in the country will be benefited from this scheme. This was informed by Union Minister Piyush Goyal who said that providing a free ration under the National Food Security Act would cost around 2 lakh crores. (Maxim News)
