Media said the clips are digitally altered and not real. It also said some Pakistani social media accounts are spreading the false content.
The government said the videos are being shared during the protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. In the clips, Modi appears to make harsh remarks against protesters. media said he never made those comments.
The Centre said the clips use altered visuals and voice to mislead viewers. It has urged people not to trust such posts on social media. It has also asked users to verify claims through official sources before sharing them.
