Centre Keen On Privatizing Public Sector: Chada

Hyderabad, July 5 (Maxim News): CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy today criticized the Centre on 2019-20 budget proposals saying it was keen on privatizing the public sector undertakings and encouraging big industrialists.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, the CPI leader said disinvestment of Rs 1.05 lakh crore and reducing government stake from 51% reveals government move to privatize PSUs. The increase of cess on petrol, diesel will affect the common man and prices of essential commodities will shoot up. He also deplored that there was no information about allocations to Ayushman Bharat in the Union budget, which shows insincerity of the government on the project.

He also doubted on lifting scrutiny of investment and IT returns of Startups, as there was a chance of converting black money into white by those startups. The budget shows the government was slowly moving away from providing jobs. (Maxim News)
