Centre partial on TS grains, farmers should attend Maha Dharna: KTR

Hyderabad, Nov.17 (Maxim News): Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao today slammed the Centre for its adamant and partisan attitude towards the youngest state of Telangana on rice and farm produce. He told media persons after visiting his Siricilla district that the Centre was trying to ignore its constitutional obligation. The Minister accused the Centre of deliberately failing to clear food grains from the state on the lines of Punjab and avoid double standards, KTR demanded.

The Minister took exception to the BJP Government for ignoring repeated appeals on the same. He appealed to the farmers and people to believe in KCR Government policies and decisions on any issue. Do not believe in false charges and misinformation campaign by the BJP president Sanjay or other leaders in the state he urged the people.

The minister appealed to the farmers from districts to attend the Maha Dharna at Indira Park in Hyderabad from 11 am to 2 pm. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be attending it to mount pressure on the Centre to give clarity and clear rice stocks, he said. The farmers will turn up in huge numbers to the big protest to make it a big success, he hoped. The BJP state unit leaders stop misguiding the farmers, he said, adding that the state officials are procuring the grains from all districts. The Centre has to oblige and clear stocks on the lines of Punjab and avoid double standards, KTR demanded. KT Rama Rao said that in addition to KCR, all the farmers from districts, ministers, MPs, MLAs and other TRS leaders will attend the dharna. (Maxim News)
