Centre Stonewalling Key Projects In HYD: KTR

Stating that crucial development projects in the State capital were being delayed due to ‘foolish’ conditions put forward by the Defence Ministry, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday said the Centre should not hinder development of Hyderabad and kill aspirations of the people.

Talking after throwing open the new underpass at Mind Space junction at Madhapur, Rao cited the specific cases of the proposals for skyways in the city and said the State government was forced to make repeated rounds of New Delhi seeking allocation of 100 acres of Defence land in Secunderabad for construction of skyways. In return, the State had also offered 600 acres of land in Shamirpet.
