Chada Slams Govt For Failing To Check Land Encroachments, Illegal Constructions In City

Hyderabad, Feb.29 (Maxim News): CPI Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy slammed State government for “miserably failing” to check illegal constructions and buildings in city. He demanded that the government call an all-party meeting to discuss encroachment of lands and illegal construction of buildings. “People’s opinion is key to the new Acts and illegal activities”, he opined. The High Court had made sensational comments against the GHMC Commissioner and other officials for remaining mute spectators to the illegal structures, he fumed.

In a pressnote here, the CPI leader accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of not taking measures to check illegal constructions. He also alleged that wrong documents were given in Banswada, the native place of Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. The KCR Government has not been able to check illegal structures, he said. “It is shame on the part of the government to get structures from the apex court”, he said. Corruption is a major problem faced by people, who could not get justice due to double standards of the officials, he said, adding amendment of Acts should be done by taking suggestions from experts, he added.(Maxim News)
