Chairman Marri Shashidhar Reddy To Hold Meeting Tomorrow

Hyderabad, Sept.29 (Maxim News): TPCC election coordination committee Chairman Marri Shashidhar Reddy today met the State Election Commissioner on in connection with the letter to all political parties, to elicit their views on whether to conduct GHMC elections using EVMs or Ballot Paper. He said that both option were not risk free. Since SEC did not provide any note with the pros and cons of both the options, he requested them to do so but did not get any response from them.

In a statement , he said that he had got in touch with experts who were responsible for managing the H1N1 Pandemic in 2008 and were very knowledgeable to seek their views. He said that the party would meet on Tuesday at 11 am along with members of the TPCC Core Committee and senior leaders to decide about the party’s stand after weighing both the options on the basis of expert advise obtained. He reiterated that safety of voters and also the poll officials during Covid-19 is paramount for the Congress party. (Maxim News)
