Charminar Police Conduct Large Scale Combing Operation

Hyderabad, Feb. 14 (Maxim News): Charminar Police carried out a large-scale combing operation across the zone to curb rowdyism and strengthen law and order. DCP Charminar Kiran Khare supervised the operation and led the coordination across all police stations.

All 15 police stations in the Charminar zone participated in the drive. Police deployed two teams from each station. As a result, 30 teams with nearly 300 personnel took part in the operation.

During the drive, police verified and checked 90 identified rowdy sheeters. Teams conducted thorough house searches to detect illegal weapons and prohibited substances. Officers focused on seizing knives, crime related materials, ganja and other intoxicants.

Police also searched the houses of the accused linked to the Massi murder case in the Rein Bazaar area. The operation aimed to prevent further offences and send a strong message to habitual offenders.

In addition, police continue to conduct cordon and search operations and maintain round the clock surveillance. Officers are counselling rowdy sheeters and initiating binding over proceedings wherever required.

Authorities have begun strict legal action against violators. Police are imposing fines ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹1,00,000 and are pursuing imprisonment wherever applicable.

DCP Kiran Khare reiterated that Charminar Police follow a firm zero tolerance policy against rowdyism. He urged citizens to cooperate and share information about criminal or anti-social activities to help maintain peace and safety in the area. (Maxim News)
