Chattisgarh: Man Slapped By District Collector

Raipur: A video of a district collector slapping a man who was reportedly going to purchase medicines during the lockdown going viral on social media and receiving negative comments from the viewers. The incident took place in the Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. The man was slapped by the district Collector and later thrashed by the police.

Police also filed an FIR under section 279 of IPC against him after the Collector orders. From the viral video, the man has seen showing some papers to the officials and the Collector Ranbir Sharma snatched the person’s mobile and smashes it on the road. Later, he asked the police to beat him.
