Check Corona Spread: PM Modi To CMs
Hyderabad, March 17 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today instructed corona affected states to conduct inoculation drive in a proper manner and give jabs to all the eligible by avoiding wastage.
Modi has asked the chief ministers to take steps to prevent virus spread by following protocols strictly.
Addressing a virtual meeting from national capital with Corona hit states, the Prime Minister advised the chief ministers in the meeting to check the virus spread and avoid wastage of jabs. Modi reviewed on rising cases, vaccination drive, necessary measures to check the spread and asked the states to be more alert. He expressed content that the recovery is good and the cause of concern is that there is rise in cases which has to be checked.
Modi instructed that the states should take necessary steps to prevent virus spread by offering vaccination and taking steps of protocol to make social distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing the hands.
The prime minister asked them to ensure that the people above 60 years and those from 45 years to 59 with long time diseases and the eligible persons get vaccinated.
He expressed concern at the rise of the cases in some states like Maharashtra
, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Punjab. While these all states contribute to 80 percent of the cases only Maharashtra has about 60 percent of cases.
While the Chief Ministers of Chattisgarh and West Bengal Bhupesh Bhagel and Mamata Benerjee have abstained the meeting with Modi other chief ministers affected states gave their views and present scenario to check the virus spread. (Maxim News)
