Civil Supplies Corporation Deposits Rs.4006 Cr In Farmers Bank Account: Srinivas

Hyderabad, May 13 (Maxim News): Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Mareddy Srinivas Reddy today said, in this Yasangi season till now Rs. 4,006 crores are deposited directly in farmers accounts,

In a statement here, Reddy said of the total amount 4,006 crores, on Tuesday itself Rs. 290 crores are deposited.

Till on Tuesday, Rs. 7,404 crores worth 40.38 Lakh Metric Tons (LMTs) of paddy was purchased from 7.10 lakh farmers. 38.44 lakh metric tons of paddy has been shifted to Rice Mills. As there reports of untimely rains in some districts, concerned officers are intimated to shift paddy immediately.

Chairman Sri Mareddy Srinivas Reddy said, said that 83% of beneficiaries have taken Free Rice from May 1 to 13. Out of 87.55 lakh beneficiaries till Wednesday 72.73 lakh (83%) card holder have taken 2 lakh 72 thousand metric tons of free rice and 2,488 metric tons of Kandipappu. (Maxim News)
