Civil Supplies Dept. Is Under Losses of Rs. 56K Crores
Hyderabad, Dec 12 (Maxim news): Minister for Water and Drainage, Civil Supplies, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that irregularities were committed in the Civil supplies Department by the previous KCR government. However, measures will be taken to provide quality rice to the poor.

Later, speaking to the press persons, here today, the Minister said that the financial condition of the Civil Supplies Department is alarming.
This department continues to incur a loss of Rs. 56 thousand crores. 12 per cent consumers have not used ration cards. Ration rice is diverted by some people. Collection of grain from farmers should be transparent.
We also discussed the problems of the millers with the authorities. We will make a decision on a new ration card application soon.
We will provide corruption free and transparent governance to the people. We will implement the gas cylinder guarantee of Rs. 500 in 100 days, said Uttam Kumar Reddy. (Maxim News)
