Cleanliness Of Surroundings Is Everyone’s Responsibility: Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy
Hyderabad: May 16 (Maxim News) On the occasion of National Dengue Day, Deputy Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy, along with TTUC State President Mothe Shoban Reddy, conducted awareness rallies in several colonies of Tarnaka Division today. During the event, dengue awareness pamphlets were distributed door-to-door, educating the public on mosquito control measures.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Mayor emphasized, “Taking preventive measures is crucial to avoid diseases like dengue. If everyone takes responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and controlling mosquito breeding, the spread of such diseases can be reduced.”
She added, “Through this awareness program organized by GHMC, our primary goal is to focus public attention on hygiene. Preventive actions such as maintaining cleanliness in every household, eliminating stagnant water, covering water tanks, and disposing of used plastic and garbage properly are necessary to combat dengue. Coordination among government organizations, colony welfare associations, educational institutions, and citizens is essential to completely control diseases like dengue. Everyone should keep their surroundings clean and set an example for others. Let us embrace the slogan, ‘Cleanliness of surroundings is everyone’s responsibility,’ and make this campaign a success.”
The Deputy Mayor further urged, “It is the responsibility of every individual to keep their surroundings clean to prevent diseases like dengue, chikungunya, and malaria. By following these steps, we can protect our health and drive mosquitoes away.”
The event was attended by Senior Entomologist Durgaprasad, Rajashekar, Pradeep, Narsing, Zubair, Jaffer, Farooq, Mohammed, Ashok Chandrasekhar, and others. (Maxim News)
