CM Announces Another Loan Waiver To Farmers

Hyderabad, June 2 (Maxim News): Farmers in Telangana will get another round of loan waiver amounting up to Rs 1 lakh, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced today.

After paying floral tributes to martyrs who had laid down their lives in achieving Telangana, Chief Minister addressed unfurled the national flag and addressed the people of the State. The Chief Minister said the State government’s flagship scheme ‘Raithu Bandhu’ had drawn adulation from across world, including the United Nations, and the Central government’s Kisan Samman Nidhi was also inspired from the Telangana scheme.

Recalling the sacrifices made by the martyrs for achieving statehood for Telangana, the Chief Minister said Telangana had proved otherwise to everyone who had written it off five years ago. He said Telangana was making rapid strides in terms of development and had achieved 16.5 percent growth rate in five years. KCR said the Telangana was the only State in the country where 24-hour quality power supply was being provided. There was no political corruption in the State in last five years, he added.

He also informed that the government was working on a draft policy for the new municipal legislation to bring in accountability in the system. The policy will be rolled out soon, he added. (Maxim News)
