CM KCR distributes cheques to kin of Galwan martyrs, Bihari workers
Bihar, August 31: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) handed over five cheques of Rs 10 lakh each to families of Galwan Valley martyrs in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav at a program in Patna on Wednesday.
As announced, KCR reached Patna on a special flight and met Bihar CM at the latter’s office. After handing over cheques, the Telangana CM wished that the state government should extend financial support to martyred jawans apart from the Centre.
Later, KCR also distributed Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of 12 Bihari workers killed in a fire accident at a timber depot in Secunderabad. On the occasion, he praised the contribution of people from Bihar to Telangana state development. “The Telangana government arranged special trains for migrant workers from Bihar to reach their native places from Hyderabad during the pandemic,” he recalled. Nitish Kumar thanked KCR for extending financial assistance to Galwan martyrs and Bihari workers.
