CM KCR review on Commercial Taxes Department
- Transfer the officials working in Commercial taxes and Stamps and Registration departments in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts who are working here for a long time.
Hyderabad, May 16 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has instructed Commercial Tax Officials to take a serious view against the forged manual challans issue that took place in Bodhan Circle in the recent past.
He asked them to initiate stringent action and ensure that such a thing does not happen again. The CM asked the officials whether there is any scope of having Bodhan type of incident anywhere and what are the preventive measures they are taking? He said a comprehensive probe should be conducted on such matters to bring culprits to the book.
A review meeting on Commercial taxes was held here this morning at Pragathi Bhavan. Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Chief Secretary SP Singh, DGP Anurag Sharma, CMO officials S Narsing Rao, Ms Smita Sabharwal, Bhoopal Reddy, Rajasekhara Reddy, Commercial Taxes Principal Secretary Somesh Kumar, Commissioner Anil Kumar and other participated.
KCR has asked Principal Secretary Somesh Kumar to transfer the officials working in Commercial taxes and Stamps and Registration departments in Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts who are working here for a long time. He said no official who commits a mistake should be spared.
KCR said that the Commercial taxes department, which accrues finances in abundance to the State, should work effectively. “We have achieved the State with a lot of hard work. We should not compromise on putting a stop to corruption and this is a malady of the former governments. Though we have reformed the administration and governance but yet some people are taking undue advantage of our goodness. We have to catch such thieves and ensure that there is no scope for corruption in future. The corrupt atmosphere should not prevail in our state come what may,” the KCR said.
The CM said the state government is getting a good name and several people are praising it. Against this backdrop, the Commercial taxes department should become number 1 in the country. He suggested to the officials to prepare a proper plan to strengthen the Commercial Taxes department. (Maxim News)
