CM not required to welcome Prime Minister as per the protocol: Talasani
Hyderabad, July 2: Speaking to the media after welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Begumpet airport here on Saturday on behalf of the Telangana government, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the chief minister is not required to welcome the PM as per protocol. “A Cabinet representative should welcome the PM,” he mentioned.
The minister said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had welcomed Narendra Modi in the past when he visited Hyderabad on several occasions. “No need to find fault with the CM for not welcoming PM,” he stated.
To a question, Talasani said that UPA presidential nominee Yashwant Sinha informed the TRS that he will meet KCR on July 2. According, we made arrangements, he added and stated that the BJP was the first to start flexi war with the TRS. He said that the TRS coined ‘bye bye Modi’ caption in response to BJP’s caption against KCR.
