CM Revanth Assures MLAs Facing Allegations Of Defecting From BRS To Congress Will Be Supported In All Matters
Hyderabad, Sept 8 (Maxim News): A very important development has taken place in state politics. 9 MLAs who are facing allegations of defecting from BRS to Congress, met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Sunday night. The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour at the camp office in Jubilee Hills, was attended by MLAs, Congress party leaders and legal experts.
The Supreme Court has imposed a deadline for their disqualification, the notices issued by the Assembly Speaker to respond to the party’s defection as per the Supreme Court’s orders are expiring and on the other hand, the main opposition BRS is preparing for by-elections in these ten constituencies.
Although the MLAs and Congress party sources say that they discussed the development of their constituencies and resolving their issues with old Congress leaders in the meeting, another discussion is going on in political circles. How to finalize the strategy regarding the case in the Supreme Court and the notices issued by the seeker? Sources say that this meeting was held to decide what to say.
Deputy CM Bhatti vikramarka, Ministers Ponguleti Sriivas Reddy, Sridhar babu, PCC president B.Mahesh Kumar Goud and Additional Advocate General Rajnikanth Reddy also participated in this meeting. Another MLA Kadiyam Srihari was not present. According to reliable information. In this meeting, the case pending in the Supreme Court on the disqualification of MLAs and the notices given by the Speaker were discussed. In addition, there was a discussion on development works in the constituencies represented by these MLAs, issues with local Congress leaders, etc.
However, after discussing with legal experts how to respond to the notices given by the Speaker, it is learned that the MLAs came to the decision to respond in a manner that they have not changed parties, that they remain in BRS, and that they met the Chief Minister for the development of the constituency. Speaking on the occasion, the CM assured that he would support them in all matters and would not back down under any circumstances in protecting the party and the MLAs who had trusted him.
It is reported tht funds will be sanctioned as much as possible for the pending works in the constituencies and that work should be done with the aim of development of the constituencies. They directed to move forward in coordination with local leaders, activists, people as well as the old Congress leadership.
