CM Revanth Orders To Prepare Report For Bringing 20 TMC Of Godavari Water To Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 23 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed bringing 20 TMC of river Godavari water to meet Hyderabad’s drinking water needs.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting with the officials of the Irrigation Department and Hyderabad Water Board, today, the Chief Minister ordered the officials to prepare a comprehensive report on lifting Godavari water from Kondapochamma and Mallanna Sagar reservoirs.

CM Revanth Reddy asked the officials to conduct a detailed study on the total cost of the transfer of water from each reservoir and the availability of water in the resources.

The Chief Minister instructed the authorities to prepare a procedure to invite tenders by the first of next month and also suggested coordinating with Mission Bhagiratha officials. 

Principal Secretary MA & UD, Dana Kishore, HMWS&SB MD Ashok Reddy, Secretary to Irrigation Prashant J.Patil, and other officials participated in the review.  (Maxim News)
