Cold Gripping Telangana: Warning For Another Three Days

Hyderabad, Dec 20 (Maxim News): Temperatures in Telangana have been dropping to record lows for the past few days. Meteorological department officials say that the intensity of cold will increase significantly over the next three days. In this context, officials have issued a red alert to the people of some districts. The intensity of cold has increased sharply in agency areas. Especially in districts like Adilabad, temperatures are dropping to single digits. The lowest temperature of 6.1 degrees was recorded in Kohir mandal of Sangareddy district. The intensity of cold is also extreme in Medak, Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts. The intensity of cold is increasing sharply from 6 pm.

Even at 10 am, the intensity of the cold is not decreasing. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a risk of severe cold winds in all districts of Telangana along with a sharp drop in temperatures. Due to severe cold and fog, people’s lives have been disrupted. Motorists are facing severe difficulties due to fog on the roads in the morning. Farmers going to the fields and laborers going to work are shivering in the cold. In view of the severity of the cold, school timings have been changed in some districts like Adilabad. People are afraid to come out of their homes as the minimum temperatures are 4 to 6 degrees below normal.

Experts are warning that the extreme cold can cause health problems. The elderly, children, and those with respiratory problems are especially advised not to go out in the morning and at night. If you have to go out, you should definitely wear woolen clothes, mufflers, and socks. Experts say to drink warm water and eat hot food. Officials also suggest that you can protect yourself from the cold by eating foods that boost your immune system. (Maxim News)
