Committee Comprising Of Hydra, GHMC And Fire Dept To Prevent Fire Accident

Hyderabad, Mar 25 (Maxim News): The two Commissioners comprising of HYDRA  AV. Ranganath and GHMC K.Ilambarithi who has reviewed on various problems and finding the solutions has decided the form the Co-ordination Committee consisting of HYDRA, GHMC and Fire department to prevent fire accidents and also to avoid the threat of floods during the rainy season.

HYDRA and GHMC have focused on solving the problems faced during the rainy season, the two departments also reviewed the steps to be taken to prevent fire accidents in the review meeting held with the GHMC official today. In addition to preventing the threat of floods during the rainy season and preventing fire accidents, it has been decided to form such committees in each region to ensure that traffic problems do not arise. It was suggested that these two committees meet regularly and coordinate to ensure that problems do not arise. They felt that only is there a need to know where fire accidents occur most and why, but also need to create awareness in those areas.  

It was decided to start inspections in areas where accidents occur most and alert them. He reminded the need to conduct frequent checks to see what the regulations say and whether residents and owners of commercial complexes are complying with them.

The officials have already identified 141 flood-prone areas in the city. The two commissioners reviewed the situation there and the steps taken to prevent floods. They reviewed the steps to be taken to ensure the smooth flow of flood water in culverts, drains, and catchment areas, including removing garbage accumulated in drains using advanced technology. It was suggested that catchment areas should be identified and flood water should be directed to nearby ponds.  It was felt that zonal level committees should be formed to address the problem there.  It is said that if there is a complete understanding of the problem, there will be an opportunity to take action to resolve it, by creating a system of accountability everywhere to prevent the threat of floods and fire hazards.  (Maxim News)
