Hyderabad, Sept.2 (Maxim News): Addressing the mammoth “Pragathi Nivedan” Meeting at Kongarakalan at 6.40 pm, the TRS Boss and Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao today fired a salvo at the previous government and then chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for talking against the statehood which will face power problem and governance as Telangana leaders are not capable of ruling the state. I have started the movement for the statehood with a fistful of leaders even as the Andhra rulers thought of to dictate terms for another 20 years at central level and stop the statehood. KCR vehemently criticised Kiran Reddy for showing a graph of gloomy picture of lack of power if statehood is accorded.
He slammed the past rulers for belittling the statehood movement and leaders involved. In spite of such hinder blocks, I took a pledge at Jaladrushyam in 2001 to achieve Telangana at any cost. As Union Minister I fought for the purpose and some leaders at the Centre surprised at my persistent efforts along with Prof Jayashankar, R Vidyasagar Rao and others. However, with support of 36 political parties and people cooperation the fight continued to get the statehood in 2014 he said. As not to give the reigns to others, we started our own ruling despite less number of top level of officials.
In the combined state we used to appeal repeatedly to the government to give funds to help the kin of deceased weavers or farmers. They denied Rs 50,000 and we raised funds to help them he said. Now the TRS Government is able to see smiles on the faces of weavers and farmers with several schemes he said adding that we have to much more for their welfare. I used to collect funds to provide financial assistance to the poor girls towards marriage. Now Kalyan Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak being implemented proudly in our state he added. He listed out several schemes of Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and others for all sections of people. KG to PG will be implemented, gurukul schools launched, 24 hour power supply being offered to agriculture and lambadi thandas are now village panchayats will become functional soon.(Maxim News)
