Cong Welcomes CPI’s Withdrawal Of Support To TRS
Hyderabad, Oct.15 (Maxim News): Congress party has welcomed the decision of Communist Party of India (CPI) to withdraw it’s support to the TRS in the bye-elections for Huzurnagar Assembly constituency.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy, in a media statement on Monday evening, said that the CPI took a good decision of not backing a party which is running a cruel, dictatorial and anti-people government. “Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has committed a major crime by illegally dismissing more than 48,000 employees who went on strike for their justified demands. By deciding to snap ties with TRS to support agitating RTC employees, the CPI has taken a good decision,” he said.
Narayana Reddy said CPI’s decision matches the prevailing sentiment across Telangana against the KCR Government. He said people of Huzurnagar were already set to elect Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy, and with the CPI withdrawing support to TRS, the ruling party is heading for a humiliating defeat.
