Congress Confident of Jubilee Hills By-election Win
Jubilee Hills by-election | Hyderabad, Nov. 12: The Congress Party is confident of winning the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, citing exit polls that favor its candidate.
Party leaders said coordinated strategies and grassroots campaigns were implemented to reach voters across the constituency.
The Jubilee Hills seat, which Congress last won in 2009 through P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, son of the late PJR, has remained elusive for over 16 years.
In the previous Assembly election, Congress candidate Mohammed Azharuddin lost to BRS leader Maganti Gopinath despite securing more than 63,000 votes.
The by-election was necessitated by Gopinath’s demise, making this contest a matter of prestige for Congress

Although the party regained power in Telangana in the last Assembly polls, it failed to secure any seat within the Greater Hyderabad region.
However, Congress recently won the Cantonment by-election, slightly improving its urban presence. Still, defeats in parliamentary segments like Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, and Chevella underscored the party’s struggle in urban constituencies.
Winning Jubilee Hills is now seen as crucial to rebuilding its strength in the capital region.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka led the campaign effort.
Ministers were assigned division-wise responsibilities, while MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and corporation chairpersons actively joined the outreach programs.
Intensive door-to-door canvassing and roadshows were conducted, highlighting state development and welfare schemes.

According to party insiders, polling turnout may reach around 50 percent. Exit polls released after voting have projected a favorable outcome for Congress, boosting morale among its leaders.
They believe that a win in this by-election will energize the cadre and provide momentum for upcoming local body elections.
