Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the BRS party office in the 37th ward of Siddipet municipality on Friday, Harish Rao said the Congress had promised to allot exclusive funds under the BC Sub-Plan even in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, besides implementing the SC declaration included in its manifesto. However, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had failed to take even a single step forward in this direction so far, he said.

The former Minister criticised the Congress government for failing to implement the Rythu Declaration announced at the Warangal public meeting. As the State government was preparing to present the 2026–27 annual Budget in the Assembly shortly, Rao demanded that these schemes be included in the Budget with adequate fund allocations, besides implementing Rs 2,500 under the Maha Lakshmi scheme to every woman and Rs 4,000 pension to the elderly and others.

Stating that the government had invited applications under Rajiv Yuva Vikasa, Rao said no efforts were made to implement the scheme, leaving the youth disappointed. He said the government had also failed to implement Rajiv Athimiya Bharosa for labourers in villages.

Rao said the BRS would continue to fight on behalf of the people and force the ruling party to implement all the promises it had made. He added that the party would also raise the unfulfilled promises during the Budget session.
