Congress criticised Governnment for ignoring Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project sanctioned by previous UPA Government and instead was interested in Pharma City project that will pollute environment but serve interests of people in the ruling party.
At a meeting on the ITIR project, Congress leaders vowed to fight against Pharma City and demanded that the government bring pressure on Centre for releasing funds to ITIR project. CLP deputy leader T. Jeevan Reddy said that IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao made no efforts to start project that would provide employment opportunities to lakhs of people.
